Hey, all!  I’m Rebecca, I’m from Nebraska, and this is my dog. (See above photo) He is staying in Nebraska because he doesn’t like the heat.  A little bit about myself . . . I was raised in cornfields (you can take that almost literally), but I love traveling, unlike most Nebraskans.  My parents were missionaries for a year in Senegal, Africa, when I was in first grade.  Since then, I’ve never wanted to stay in just one place.  I’ve lived in Hong Kong and Oregon, and visited enough countries that I usually forget one if I try to list them all.  I hope I’m not done adding to the list.

About me and God . . . I grew up in a very safe, conservative, typically Nebraskan Christian home.  Well, almost typical.  I’ve got five brothers and sisters, and we’re all still alive and love Jesus.  I acted on my need for a Savior at a young age, largely out of fear of going to Hell.  Since then, God has brought me on an amazing journey, showing me not only the Fear of God, but also the immense and incredible love of God – His patience, His generosity, and His heart for the lost.  It is my privilege and desire to spend the rest of my life in His service.  At present, that means going to Haiti for the summer.

I was in Haiti just last fall and was deeply blessed to see what God is doing with His Church down there . . . I’m also thrilled to be going back.  Well, thrilled about everything but the temperature.

Things I’m sure you’ll figure out soon enough:
–  I love randomness.
– I can do mornings, but I’d rather sleep in.
– Anything to do with music, drama, art, kids, or horses, I’m up for.
– I’ve survived a tornado and a hurricane, and am looking to cross “earthquake” off the list . . .
– God is good.  All the time.
