I know sometimes we sing words in a song during worship saying that nothing is impossible for God, but do we truly believe it?  Do we truly believe that God can heal the sick and raise the dead?  Do we really rely on him for every aspect of our life?  Do we think that God could provide an entirely new building with less the $500?  What about purchasing 37.4 acres with no more then $20 in your checking account?  Is nothing really impossible?

I’ve had the privilege of getting to know a man here by the name of Israel.  We had training with him yesterday for disaster relief, yet we learned very little of what you might consider disaster relief.  Instead, the whole day, he showed us ways to expand our thinking and to think outside the box.  In one exercise the only way to complete the task was to literally draw outside the box.  He pushed us outside of our comfort zones and showed us invisible barriers that we place on ourselves that we’re not even aware of.  Barriers that translate to our relationship with God and just about any aspects of our lives.  I’m learning that I’ve placed what I think is possible and impossible for God to do, even though I say God can do anything, in my heart, I sometimes don’t believe it.  I’m praying that I see the impossible become possible on this journey.
