Aloha! My name is Tifany Cunningham, born and raised here, there and everywhere!  Having grown as a child of a military parent, I have been trained and conditioned to be able to pack up, ship out and grow up-all at the drop of a dime.  I currently teach Elementary school world language (Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Russian)-all by faith!  I love what I teach and pray often that God uses these years to prepare their hearts as future missionaries!

It’s been just about a year since my trip to Gonaives, Haiti.  What seems like forever ago now feels like just the beginning.  Haiti was quite
the experience.  It was real, it was raw
and it was in your face. Sure I’m talking about the poverty, the sicknesses and disease and
the blatant spiritual warfare. But mostly I’m speaking about the love, the heart of worship and
the presence of the Lord.  Oh the irony
of the Lord. Only He invites me into a relationship to follow Him and reach the
world, simultaneously.  It is what
happens in the in between that I have found to be so amazing.
It is what happens when I finally push beyond all boundaries that I
discover that God is not hidden.  He is
not hidden in boxes or locked up in churches.
Haiti exposed me to the God that meets people wherever they are, on the
street, broken, hopeless, hopeful or lost.
I was exposed and then summoned to dwell.
“Dwell amongst my people like my Son” , I heard God whisper to me in my
spirit one day.

And so that is what I’m doing. Not entirely knowing, but trusting. And with that faith I feel the Lord beckoning me, deeper, closer and even lower still.  I am looking forward to spending this summer in Haiti and await in expectation to see what God is able to do when we ‘take the limits off’!
