God is always good. No matter what the circumstances are, or where you may be. He is always ready to do his works in you and the people around you. It is amazing to me the number of people who have been changed by the hand of God in the last week just in Appalachia. We were privileged to watch God work in the hearts of the youth who were on this trip. Many of them were brought to places of brokenness through the leading of the Spirit. They made the decision to let their walls collapse and run into the arms of a loving Father. God brought them to a deeper place in him as they responded with hunger for more. To see the transformation begin was a great honor for me. It was a blessing to see God move on hearts, and to be a part of his work.
It was also amazing to see God work in the lives of those in the community here. The people have been for the most part overwhelmed with the response of the youth and the love of Jesus that they showed. God allowed them to work and witness to people who had lost all sense of hope and brotherly love. And I believe that this past week was just the tip of the iceberg of what God wants to do in this area. There are so many people who are hurting and lost and in need of His love and kindness.
"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality." Romans 12:9-13
